Afghan Film Industry by Jonathan Saruk

I am back in Kabul for a few weeks and in an effort to photograph the lighter side of life here, I have turned to the film industry.  While there are a few larger production outfits in Kabul, there are many smaller operations -usually just a handful of people and a camera- producing Bollywood style movies that end up on television or on DVD.  (The movie theaters in Kabul are dominated by Pakistani and Indian films.)  The following pictures are from the first two days of shooting last week, which I hope will evolve into a more comprehensive project.  Enjoy.  JS
